The Customer Experience Team Member plays an integral role in supporting a culture of sales and service. They enhance the Christmas Tree Shop brand as a retailer in collaboration with other team members dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers and providing a clean and inviting shopping environment. A successful Customer Experience Team Member is actively engaged with customers and has a customer-first mindset. The Customer Experience Team Member is empowered to make positive decisions that are in the best interest of the customer. This requires the ability to work in service with one another and the customer, prioritize workload, and contribute to accomplishing the team’s key objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledges and is actively engaged with customers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner; promptly and politely responds to customer inquiries and requests for support.
  • Processes all customer transactions through the register, and packages customer purchases. 
  • Acknowledges customers in line and partners with leadership if additional assistance is needed.
  • Communicates the benefits of current reward programs and collects email addresses from customers at the register to enhance marketing outreach.
  • Effectively communicates with leadership and team members, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Returns misplaced products, customer returns, and put back to correct area of the store.
  • Stocks merchandise on store fixtures following stocking plans and presentation standards.
  • Verifies prices, assists with price changes on product and merchandise displays.
  • Organizes, straightens, and replenishes merchandise and supplies throughout work areas.
  • Creates, displays, and maintains required store signage on fixtures and shelves; monitors store signage to ensure compliance with sign standards. 
  • Maintains housekeeping standards throughout work areas; cleans fixtures, checkout area, removes debris and trash, and cleans up product spills, as needed.
  • Demonstrates safe work methods and practices, including reporting safety issues promptly.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a safe, efficient, accurate, and effective manner following policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties, as necessary including but not limited to Return to Vendor (RTV) processing, merchandise processing, backroom organization, and cart retrieval.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 40 pounds. 
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • May involve reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
